About the event

Jennifer Moore is an educator, artist and naturalist based in East Sussex and has a long-standing interest in the natural world. She enjoys printing and painting, and runs a weekly art class in Covent Garden, as well as teaching young adults. She has recently published a range of  birdwatching logbooks using her illustrations of British birds.

In this workshop, Jennifer will show you how to sketch birds in the field using a variety of techniques. Adding drawings to written observations is an invaluable way to connect with the subject and enhance your records - as well as an enjoyable skill to master, whether you are an ornithologist, casual birdwatcher, or simply wanting to learn something new.

West Rise Marsh is an ideal place to learn the skill of field sketching, offering a peaceful space to observe wetland birds at close range.

A second skill-building session is available on request.
